But in the third season you feel like they’re dragging it out for no particular reason. Season 3 was basically 8 hours of boring drama and 10 minutes of new plot elements. They’re just there to expand the series’ unanswered storylines.

To make matters worse, the dialogue seems to have been reduced to mere vocals. The series suffers from the same problem as The Walking Dead: it repeats and recycles the same stories until they become completely ineffective. Now that the main characters have become accustomed to their surroundings, they run around freely and even regularly interact with “ghouls.” The scary monsters no longer provide excitement, but instead seem like a sideshow that has been abandoned since the circus left town.
