Synopsis
It follows a group of military superhumans consisting of a human leader, a werewolf, a vampire, a Frankenstein’s monster, and a gorgon. Gunn then greenlit the project himself when he became CEO of DC Studios.

I’ve always loved the DC universe and while I think the DCEU has been overly hated, I’ve been very disappointed with a few DCEU projects. This series has fantastic characters and is extremely creative.
I think when James Gunn says that superhero movies and TV have become too generic, he’s on to something
There have been so many superhero movies in the last decade that when people see a new one coming out, they don’t go to the theaters because they think “another superhero movie that’s been out too many”; Since they’re all the same, just generic action movies (mainly sequels) I think James Gunn is really going to change things up and I can’t wait for him. I also think that since Marvel has been so much more popular, DC has a lot of great characters that have been overlooked (by fans), and I think if everything in DC comes out in the next few years, then the lesser known characters will do well at the box office as long as they can grab people’s attention and make them feel really special.

But yeah, it was a great start and I can see it only getting better from here… “One Hundred Years of Solitude” is one of the biggest TV and streaming releases this month.
