The Jackal is an elusive assassin who makes his living by carrying out murders for top pay. He soon meets his match: a dogged British intelligence officer who tracks him down in a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe.
The Jackal is seen driving a white Alfa Romeo Spider
In Day of the Jackal (1973), the Jackal also drives a white Alfa Romeo, albeit an earlier model. Referenced in Graham Norton and Visitors: Denzel Washington/Paul Mescal/Saoirse Ronan/Eddie Redmayne/Blossoms (2024).
The cast delivers some truly great performances
The story is solidly told, with twists that captivate, and the cinematography captures the eerie atmosphere perfectly. However, I must point out that Ms.
Lynch’s acting felt pretty disappointing
Her performance felt very one-dimensional, which unfortunately stood out in a cast full of strong, nuanced performances. It’s not about race – I can think of several brilliant black actresses who could have brought more depth and complexity to the role.
It’s definitely not perfect, but it deserves attention
It’s just that her performance overall didn’t match the quality of the show, which was disappointing. Still, the show is worth watching for its story and the stellar performances of the other cast members.
