Synopsis
A family growing up in Montana faces off against others who are encroaching on their land. Forrie J. Smith, who plays Lloyd, is a seasoned hand in the rodeo world. John Dutton (Kevin Costner) often seems “forgotten”; his Montanan accent and return to the SoCal speaking voice he normally uses.. Yellowstone is a solidly written drama—great characters, well-constructed—that draws inspiration from several different modern masterpieces. It has the feel and cinematography of Longmire, the plot and bleak perspective of The Sopranos, and the dramatic dynamics of shows like Dynasty; or any other network drama like it. Much credit must go to Costner and Cole Hauser—these guys give it 100%. I didn’t expect to be drawn into this show the way I was. It’s worth your time.
